The Antioch Speedway announced on Thursday its popular "Run What You Brung" event has been postponed until October 15. A large amount of rain caused water to accumulate on the track, which created hazardous conditions for drivers.
"There is no way to drain the track and have the clay race-ready and the pits usable by Saturday," Oval Motorsports President John Soares was quoted as saying in a press release issued Thursday.
The same event was also scheduled to be held at the Merced Raceway on Sunday, October 9. The Merced event is still planned as scheduled.
