PG&E re-tests Woodside pipe that blew

WOODSIDE, Calif.

Line 132, which is the same line that caused the deadly San Bruno explosion in 2010, failed last week in Woodside during high-pressure water testing conducted by PG&E. When the line failed, it sent mud and other debris onto nearby I-280, causing traffic delays.

PG&E says Line 132 passed a high-pressure water test at 680 pounds per square inch -- about twice the normal operating pressure.

The utility company says there's evidence that the 24-inch line was damaged by an outside contractor, which led to last week's failure.
