Giants payroll manager pleads guilty to embezzlement

SAN FRANCISCO

Forty-two-year-old Robin O'Connor was allowed to leave the courthouse Monday on $500,000 bond. She will be sentenced in March for wire fraud. The maximum would be 20 years in prison.

O'Connor admitted to creating phony paychecks, reducing players' tax withholding and transferring the money to her personal account. O'Connor must return the money and forfeit three 2011 vehicles she purchased -- two BMWs and a Ford F-150 pickup.

The judge is allowing O'Connor to leave the state for the holidays, to be with family on the East Coast.
