Walmart is actually paying the $27.5 million to settle allegations that it worked in kahoots with Los Gatos-based Netflix to inflate prices on buying and renting DVD's.
The world's largest retailer is not acknowledging wrongdoing and will pay in cash or Walmart gift cards. Affected customers should have received emails this week.
A federal judge needs to finalize the deal next march.
