Walnut Creek bank tagger caught on ATM camera

WALNUT CREEK, Calif.

Lt. Brian Hill said a suspect used washable paint or shoe polish to tag the bank buildings located in the Citrus Shopping Center on Oak Grove Road multiple times between Nov. 11 and this morning.

Hill said that although the "foreclosure" tag appears to be in line with the overall message of Occupy Wall Street, which has seen a weekly presence in Walnut Creek, he does not know whether the vandalism is related.

Police obtained a surveillance video of a man tagging the bank buildings this morning shortly after 3 a.m., but have yet to track down a suspect, Hill said.

The man captured in the surveillance video is described as a white male, between 19 and 24 years old, with brown hair.

In the video, he is wearing a black, hooded sweatshirt with the letters "Lrg" across the front.

Anyone with information about the tagging is urged to contact the Walnut Creek Police Department at (925) 943-5844.
