Burger King is changing its French fry recipe for the first time in more than a decade.

The nation's second largest hamburger chain says the new fries are thicker, have less sodium, but have an added coating that makes them crispier and keeps them hotter longer.

Some of the chain's rivals are also making changes to their fries.

The new Burger King fries will be out next year.
