The Presidio Trust has announced a 22 room inn, the very first hotel in the national park, will open in April. Century-old officers' housing is being renovated and turned into a revenue-generating hotel that includes an archaeology center and a restaurant.
The government has ordered the park become self-sustainable financially by next year. Critics say the trust is commercializing an historic and environmental gem.
