Around 1 a.m., Palo Alto police received a call from a resident in the 1600 block of Edgewood Drive. The resident reported hearing noises and seeing a flashlight outside the house. Officers arrived at the scene and stopped a suspect walking one block west of the home, near Hamilton and Alester avenues, police said.
Police believed that the suspect was the prowler reported on Edgewood Drive and connected to another residential burglary on the 1600 block of Hamilton Avenue reported on Sunday. /p>
Residents there returned home from numerous days away to find multiple electronic items stolen from their house, police said./p>
Rodriguez-Vasquez was booked into the San Jose Main Jail for burglary and possession of a fixed-blade, police said. /p>
On Monday, Palo Alto police said they served a search warrant at Rodriguez-Vasquez's residence, where detectives said they located property stolen from the robbery on Sunday.
