Bottled water banned at Grand Canyon

GRAND CANYON

The National Park Service will stop selling water in the next 30 days, due to the number of discarded plastic bottles spoiling the natural wonder.

Visitors won't have to go thirsty, though. Water can still be brought in and the park will be installing water stations where visitors can fill up.

Officials estimate the disposable bottles account for 20 percent of the park's waste and 30 percent of its recyclables.
