Dogs brought in to search for 'Speed Freak' victims

SAN FRANCISCO

Investigators say they just about finished up a massive dig at the first site identified by convicted killer Wesley Shermantine. About 1,000 bone fragments have been found there.

Officials are now trying to pinpoint the exact location of a second well. That's where they believe they'll find the remains of more victims of Shermantine and Loren Herzog. Shermantine led investigators to the first well after a bounty hunter paid him $33,000 for the information. Herzog killed himself last month.
