San Francisco's Exploratorium is hosting a rare opportunity for the public to visit with Tibetan Buddhist monks and nuns.

The monks opened their exhibition with traditional throat singing. They'll be at the Exploratorium for the next nine days, focusing on the intersection between modern science and traditional Buddhist beliefs.

Visitors can watch a master Tibetan painter at work, and Thursday night there's a special program that includes a chance to try your own throat singing.
