Sacramento first grader Aniyah Rigmaiden was eating lunch in the cafeteria at Wenzel elementary school when she started choking on an apple recently. The students sitting around her called for help. That's when little Beanie Mar stepped up.
"He just kept yelling out Aniyah's choking, Aniyah's choking. And everybody was like huh, huh, and they didn't know what to do but I knew what to do," said Beanie.
The apple was dislodged with a single thrust. Beanie says she saw the move performed on the Disney channel. She and a couple other students have now been given certificates, thanking them for their actions.
