Google's Schmidt urges Cal grads to be positive

BERKELEY, Calif.

Google Executive Chairman and UC Berkeley grad Eric Schmidt delivered the keynote speech to a capacity crowd. He urged the graduates to take a positive attitude.

"Yes is what keeps us all young. Yes is a very tiny word that allows you to do very, very big things. Say it often. Don't be afraid to fail and do not be afraid to succeed," he said.

Some 7,000 UC Berkeley students will receive their diplomas at about 100 ceremonies through the end of this month.

The most popular majors include economics, political science, business administration and electrical engineering.
