Planning a summer vacation? Many are turning again to travel agents. The average person planning trips on their own visits 21 sites in nine different web sessions. But more and more people are letting travel agents do the work for them.

"Travelers are really looking for some advice; somebody who can answer questions for them, somebody who has experience in traveling, and they can't always get that online," said Mark Orwoll from Travel Leisure.

"Maybe I can come up with something you haven't thought of yet," said Kerry Stegeman, a travel agent.

Travel agents are also someone you can turn to if you have an emergency during your trip. They say a good travel agent might make up for any commissions they receive by finding discounts for the traveler. Plus, you don't have to go to 21 sites every 9 web sessions.
