The companies will open up their combined 50,000 WiFi hotspots across the country to their competitor's subscribers. Those hotspots will be at beaches, sports venues, shopping malls and other high traffic areas. All this will be available for free to customers of those five cable companies.
Simply log in under the label "Cable Wi-Fi." this is cable's response to increased competition from 4G smartphone providers.
