San Jose voters will decide on minimum wage

San Jose voters will decide what the city's minimum wage should be.

Tuesday night, the City Council unanimously approved putting a minimum wage initiative on the November ballot.

If approved, the minimum wage would rise from $8 to $10 an hour, with annual increases tied to the consumer price index.

The council voted against adopting the new minimum wage outright.
