They're called jogging tours and they're happening in the Bay Area. Several hotels, including the Hotel Palomar in downtown San Francisco are organizing jogging groups that hit major sightseeing attractions in the city. The concept combines a tour--group narration, and a healthy work out.
"We really love to make sure everybody who comes can participate. So whether you're walking, whether you're a first time runner, whether you've done, you know, ultramarathons, we make sure that everyone feels comfortable," said Tiffany Xaychaleune of Kimpton Hotels.
The running tours are free for guests. Other sightseeing companies are also organizing running tours and there are apps available for download to plan your route.
