1 elevator up and running at seniors home

One of the broken elevators is now up and running at a high-rise housing complex for seniors and the disabled in Campbell.

About 160 residents live in the Wesley Manor Apartments. They've been forced to use the stairs, if they can, or stay home since Friday, when water damage from a fire shut down the elevators. Some had to depend on others to bring them food.

"Oh my god, I'm a sun freak, so this is wonderful to me, you have no idea," resident Vikki Pablo said. "I know I'm all bundled up, but it was freezing in there, so coming out here was a really good thing."

Crews are still working to fix the building's second elevator. There's no word yet on when it will be up and running.
