The Santa Cruz County district attorney's office announced Monday it won't file charges against the third baseman. Sandoval had been accused of assaulting a 21-year-old woman in an Aptos resort after the two met at a downtown Santa Cruz bar.
Last week, the sheriff's office said it had done extensive interviews with witnesses and reviewed security camera tapes and determined there was no cause to arrest Sandoval.
Investigators determined there was inconclusive evidence to show force and a lack of consent on the woman's part.
