Residents along much of the East Coast are cleaning up after powerful thunderstorms swept through yesterday.

Two deaths are being blamed on falling debris, caused by torrential wind and rain brought on by the storm. Utility crews are also working to restore electricity to at least 300,000 homes and businesses that lost power. Weaker remnants of the storm are expected to head toward the southeast today.
