Couple's front lawn in Washington falling off cliff

WASHINGTON

Chunks from Roy and Rosalee Ballinger's property crumbling away. The workshop where Roy makes his living is close to sliding off and there is nothing he can do about it. It all started about a week ago, when a geyser appeared. Experts believe either a natural spring changed its course, or it's erosion from years of heavy rain.

"The hardest part was seeing people take the woodshop apart. Because I know how he built it," said Rosalie Ballinger.

The couple is waiting to find out if their property will be condemned. Just weeks ago, they had been talking about putting their home on the market.
