At The American Craft Council, you won't find knick-knacks. This show is for serious arts and crafts lovers. There are bronze sculptures, one of a kind jewelry, and colorful vases.
230 artists are displaying their wares. While one artist turned her love of collecting shells into beautiful lamps, artist Mark Doolittle says he uses his background as a molecular biologist for inspiration, "A lot of this comes from looking under the microscope. And a lot of the structure that you see here is based on microscopic structure."
The show is at the Fort Mason Center and runs through Sunday.
