Casino M8trix is located on Airport Parkway near the San Jose Airport. It was originally supposed to open in April, but delays in obtaining a city permit pushed things back.
The casino plans a ribbon cutting ceremony as hundreds of workers start their new jobs. The casino owners are required to close down their existing "Garden City" card room, which will happen simultaneously.
The new casino will open 8/8 at 8 a.m. because that number is considered a lucky one in Asian culture.
