A new study suggests that age-old advice may benefit cancer patients. Recent trials have shown daily aspirin use, in either a baby or adult dose, may reduce cancer mortality rates by 15 percent over 10 years.
Other studies, however, found aspirin had no effect on cancer mortality rates. A new study in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute took another look and found daily aspirin use can reduce cancer mortality, though not as much as the earlier study found.
