More residents have been advised to be ready to evacuate as the fast-burning Scotts Fire now threatens around 300 homes east of Ukiah.

The fire has burned more than 7 square miles in Lake County. Crews have it about 15-percent contained and hope improving weather conditions will help slow the blaze.

There are nine major fires burning across the state right now. Cal Fire expects to have the 16 complex fire in Colusa County fully contained by the end of the day.
