Astronomers are talking about a flash in the sky millions of miles away from Earth.

Something hit Jupiter on Monday and it created a blast that was visible here on Earth. Amateur astronomer George Hall of Dallas, Texas captured images of the explosion on the galaxy's largest planet.

It remains unclear if the object that struck Jupiter was a small undetected comet or an asteroid.
