On Thursday, Occupy protesters announced they will stage a march this coming Monday around the Financial District. It's slated to begin at 5 p.m., during the peak of the evening commute.
Demonstrators say huge protests and community organizing have been successful in slowing down foreclosures, "There's probably a half-a-dozen people who are in their homes because they organized, and Occupy and other groups fought the banks and stopped the foreclosures," protestor David Solnit said.
Monday's day of action begins with a noontime protest at San Francisco's War Memorial building. Demonstrations will also take place in the Castro District and at PG&E headquarters on Market Street.
