SF showing of original Lincoln document rescheduled

SAN FRANCISCO

The original, handwritten copy was slated to make an appearance Saturday afternoon at the First A.M.E. Zion Church to coincide with the 150 anniversary of Lincoln's issuance of the proclamation to end slavery.

Church officials say they are rescheduling the event to January to "organize more educational participation."

The 160-year-old church actively participated in the national Underground Railroad during the 1850's.
