Scientists are working on a device with a screen that physically moves to show 3D images.
For instance, if you're looking at a map the screen twists to show hills or buildings.
It has a surface about half the size of a standard tablet and has 9 individual screens which can move up or down.
"The device will mutate so that the terrain will pop out at you, physically pop out at you, so there's no longer any need to wear things like 3D glasses," said Jason Alexander from the University of Bristol.
It's only a prototype right now, but scientists say the device could eventually consist of hundreds or thousands of tiny screens and be used for maps, 3D gaming, or just about anything.
It's being officially introduced at the Human-Computer Interaction conference in San Francisco.
