It happened at around 10:15 a.m. at 14th and Franklin near City Hall and the 12th Street BART station, an intersection particularly busy in the mornings.
Two people on the sidewalk, two passengers in a City of Oakland truck, and two passengers in an SUV were all injured in the collision. One person was actually thrown through the glass window of a shop at 400 Franklin St. The shopkeeper says he was inside the business at the time and heard the loud crash.
The condition of the victims is unknown at this time although officials say no one was severely injured. An
investigation into what exactly happened is under way.
