Owner Kevin Lunny Monday announced he has hired the private government watchdog group Cause of Action to explore keeping his small, family owned business alive.
The Department of the Interior last week ordered the Point Reyes National Seashore oyster farm to vacate its premises in 90 days so the land can be returned to wilderness status.
But Lunny says the National Park Service is misrepresenting federal law, his contract with the state of California and the needs of the community.
