Man rescued after driving 300 feet off Daly City cliff

DALY CITY, Calif.

The California Highway Patrol says a couple drove their car off an embankment along Skyline Boulevard in Daly City. The car plunged hundreds of feet down the cliff near the Olympic Club.

One of the victims had to carried to the top of the bluff. That person is suffering serious injuries. A second person appears to be okay.

The accident happened at about 4:15 a.m. The cliff rescue shutdown traffic on Skyline Boulevard Tuesday morning. All lanes have since reopened.
