SF, Oakland holding gun buyback programs

In a community-based effort to reduce gun violence, the San Francisco and Oakland police departments will be buying weapons for cash this weekend.

Residents will get $200 per gun or rifle, with a limit of three per person.

For Oakland residents, the gun buyback program will held at Saint Benedict's Church at 2245 82nd Avenue. In San Francisco, it's at the Omega Boys Club at 1060 Tennessee Street.

They'll be buying guns on Saturday from 10 a.m. ? 3 p.m.
