Officers were called at 10:40 p.m. to a report of a shooting near the intersection of Jefferson and Mason Streets in San Francisco, according to police.
The victim suffered none-life-threatening injuries to the hand.
Officers searched for the suspect, described only as an armed male adult, who was last seen heading toward Alioto's Restaurant at 8 Fisherman's Wharf, but was not located, police said.
