Former SEAL who killed bin Laden speaks out

He is identified only as the shooter and he recently talked to Esquire magazine.

The man left the U.S. Military last year and says he is unemployed and worried about providing for his family.

He also describes the May 2011 mission that led to bin Laden's death.

"The shooter rolled into the bedroom on the right-hand side and ultimately right there faced Osama bin Laden, less than a foot away from his gun and shot him there, three times in the forehead," said Esquire magazine contributer Phil Bronstein.

The shooter now suffers from both mental and physical issues after hundreds of combat missions and says his disability claim is still in limbo.

The U.S. Navy responded by saying they take seriously their responsibility to sailors making the transition to civilian life, but would not comment on this specific case.
