Police evacuate neighborhood after bomb scare

Police have evacuated part of a Petaluma neighborhorhood because of a bomb scare. Ely Boulevard South between Caulfield Lane and Weaverly Drive have been closed.

Police have asked residents in the area to leave their homes as a precaution after they found an old military explosive. The Sonoma County Sheriff's Bomb Squad has been called in to take the device away. It's unclear when residents will be allowed back into their homes.
