The man was hit by northbound train No. 211 at Charleston Road, spokeswoman Christine Dunn said.
Riders are advised to expect major delays throughout the morning commute.
Shortly before 8 a.m., Dunn said the southbound track had reopened, and that trains would be able to single-track through the area at slow speeds.
