Chevron completes repairs after Richmond refinery fire

Chevron says it has completed repairs to its Richmond refinery after last year's massive fire.

The huge fire broke out in August, damaging the crude distillation unit, a vital component for full operation of the refinery.

Chevron tells our media partner The Contra Costa Times that it's now waiting for regulatory approval to restart the crude oil processing unit.

In the meantime, the board at Chevron is cutting the pay for its chief executive and others because of what it called operating incidents last year.
