A 76-year-old woman who was killed Friday in a crash on state Highway 13 has been identified as Masimiake Havea, according to the Alameda County coroner's bureau.

Havea was one of five people in an SUV that drove into the median and struck the center divide on southbound on Highway 13 at about 3:45 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol Officer Sam Morgan.

The vehicle, which was driven by an 18-year-old woman, then swerved across one lane and flipped, overturning several times, according to the CHP.

Havea, who had not been wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and three passengers suffered moderate to major injuries and were taken to local hospitals, according to the CHP.

Speed was likely a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation by the CHP.
