A major thoroughfare in Orinda has reopened after being blocked by power lines that were downed in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday, police said.

Traffic on Moraga Way near Brookside Drive was diverted in both directions after the crash was reported shortly before noon, according to police.

The lanes reopened around 12:40 p.m. after PG&E crews cleared the lines from the roadway, according to police.

PGTARGET="_blank"E crews are expected to return to the scene to repair the damaged equipment. That may cause minor delays in the area, police said.
