"Bacon Bacon" restaurant finds new home in San Francisco

"Bacon Bacon," the food truck that opened a San Francisco restaurant and then was forced to shut it down after neighbors in the Haight-Ashbury District complained about the smell, has finally found a new home.

The mobile eatery has taken over the kitchen of "Brick and Mortar," a nightclub in the city's Mission District.

For now, Bacon Bacon is just doing prep work for the food truck. But starting next Wednesday, it'll open there as a regular restaurant.

The city's planning commission is still chewing the fat on allowing Bacon Bacon to reopen its Frederick Street locale.

Owner Jim Angelus does not expect any complaints of the smell at the new location. That's because it's next to a sausage factory.
