SF Mayor Ed Lee signs new food truck legislation into law

SAN FRANCISCO

On Friday, Mayor Ed Lee signed legislation that creates new rules for these moveable eateries.

Food trucks will now have to park at least 75-feet away from brick-and-mortar restaurants.

But they'll be able to set up closer to middle and high schools, and even go inside college campuses.

The compromise legislation has gotten good reviews from the Golden Gate Restaurant Association.
