Brentwood resident Theresa Allen-Caulboy, 55, accompanied by her attorney, turned herself into the superior courthouse in Pittsburg on Tuesday on an arrest warrant on the felony charges, prosecutors said.
She was immediately arraigned in connection with the alleged abuse against students in her classes at Mno Grant Elementary School between October 2012 and January, according to Deputy District Attorney Melissa Smith.
She is scheduled to appear in court to enter a plea to the charges on Aug. 12.
