A new bill signed by Gov. Jerry Brown will give California web users under the age of 18 the option to delete their postings from the Internet.

Brown signed the so-called Eraser Button Bill requiring websites, mobile apps and online services to offer young web users an option to delete or remove information they post.

The law doesn't protect against re-posting and doesn't require websites to delete the information from their data servers.
