Crews battle two-alarm town home fire in San Jose Thursday

SAN JOSE, Calif.

Firefighters were dispatched at 11:14 a.m. to the 1500 block of Musetta Court, just east of U.S. Highway 101, where flames and smoke could be seen from two town homes in a six-unit building, fire Capt. Cleo Doss said.

The flames, which were visible from Tully Road, were coming from the backyard patios and reaching up the sides of the town homes, Doss said.

Fire crews got there at 11:20 a.m. and learned that no one was home in either of the two town homes, Doss said. The other four units of the building were evacuated.

Firefighters doused the blaze at 11:30 a.m. The damage was mostly to the homes' exterior, but there was also smoke damage inside the two units, Doss said.

No one was injured in the fire, which remains under investigation.
