South Bay police dog sniffs out 100 pounds of pot

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, Calif.

The Mountain View Police Department tweeted a photo of the dog named Zeus.

But don't let that sweet face fool you.

The black lab is sitting in front of the 100 pounds of marijuana he sniffed out Tuesday after officers served a warrant in Santa Clara County.

Investigator say the K-9 also helped recover $75,000 in cash.

Zeus is assigned to the Santa Clara County specialized enforcement team.

Since joining the narcotics task force in June 2012, officials say that Zeus and his partner have located approximately 912 grams of methamphetamine, 2,300 grams of marijuana, 210 grams of heroin, 200 MDMA Pills (Ecstasy), and 150 grams of cocaine.
