Australia Zoo worker mauled in front of visitors

A zoo worker was mauled by a tiger at the Australia Zoo in Queensland and witnessed by visitors.

The zoo worker was airlifted from the site with severe neck wounds. The zoo is home to three Bengal and eight Sumatran tigers. There were two incidents at the zoo back in 2009 - both were attacks on zoo keepers.

It's unclear what caused this attack, but it is thought to be the most serious, and certainly most public, in the zoo's history.
