A non-profit called Snow School Incorporated has started a crowdfunding campaign to build a snow park in San Jose. They have videos showing how it will work on their Kickstarter page.
Organizers want to build the park at an abandoned landfill near Highway 101 and the Capitol Expressway.
The facility would use synthetic snow, and promises to provide many of the same features you'll find at the resorts in the Sierra.
The size of the park will depend on how much money they can raise.
