San Jose looks to transform neglected Saint James Park

SAN JOSE, Calif.

Neighbors complain Saint James Park, just east of downtown, is filled with crime.

Tuesday night City Councilman Sam Liccardo will propose hiring an exploratory committee to figure out how to fund a redesign. He wants Levitt Pavilions, a national company, to give the park new life.

Levitt transformed MacArthur Park in Los Angeles - making it a music venue with free summer concerts.
