Study: High chairs, booster seats carry high accident rate

There are new concerns over the safety of the high chairs and booster seats used in the United States.

A study in the Journal Pediatrics says a child was taken to the hospital every hour as a result of high chair or booster seat-related injuries between 2003 and 2010.

The researchers say this suggests that either the chair's safety restraint systems were not being used or they were ineffective.

They also remind parents that children should be supervised at all times while in the chairs.
